Save Money on Groceries by Storing Produce Properly in Your Fridge
December 15, 2022Foods left at room temperature may also call for special consideration. For example, onions and potatoes should be kept away from direct sunlight. Another tip is to refrain from putting room temp items — such as bananas, oranges, limes and grapefruit — inside sealed plastic bags. Instead, these should be stored in perforated bags to let them “breathe” and allow the ethylene gas they release to be dispersed.
